As soon as he started talking about Levine, I couldn't help but laugh. This guy is spending his life measuring the pace of life of others? Anyway, when it comes to the drop-out rate and digitalization, it's just the way the world is changing. Doesn't necessarily mean that the younger generation is socially inept. We grew up with the technology the previous generation had provided us with. Seeing it's value and how it has permeated the workplace and beyond, we have adapted it so that even socially we can engage face to face and online in various situations. But going back to the drop-out rate in males, the other thing to take into consideration is the higher percentage diagnoses of ADD/ADHD in male youths (whether the disability is becoming more prevalent or there's more awareness of the disability is arguable). Still, there are some interesting ideas brought up in the lecture/video.
